Our latest HR Director Boardroom - What was discussed?

As HR & Finance recruitment specialists, we are always looking for ways to add value to our highly engaged community. May saw the return of our extremely popular HR Director Boardroom events for 2022, in partnership with Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP.

Our most recent HR Director Boardroom took place on Thursday 11th August. But what was discussed, who attended and how can you get involved in our next HR Director Boardroom event? We review our latest event and look ahead to the rest of 2022 and beyond…

Who attended our HR Director Boardroom?

This was led by Jess Badley, Director of People and Resources for the British Society for Rheumatology and chaired by Naeema Choudry, Partner from Eversheds Sutherland. They were joined by Amanda Underhill, Business Manager and James Dubowski, our Senior HR Recruitment Consultant.

Our HRD Boardroom events are designed to evoke debate and discussion so we keep the numbers intimate to facilitate the best outcome. We were joined by There were 14  HR Directors or Heads of respective business departments, ranging across a variety of sectors.

What was discussed at the event?

The chosen topic was ‘Wellbeing in the workplace’, something that has become increasingly important for businesses and employees in recent years. Jess led some great discussion around the topic, delving deeper into problems attendees had encountered and how they had overcome these when arisen.

Having HR professionals from numerous sectors meant we witnesses great debate and intellectual conversations throughout the session.

What’s next?

Our next HR Director Boardroom takes place on Tuesday 13th September 2022 from 8:30 – 10:00am via Microsoft Teams. Mark Skinner, the Chief People Office of global gambling company William Hill will be discussing ‘Early Careers – winners or losers of remote and hybrid working?’.

This event offers a fantastic opportunity for HR Directors to discuss a topic that has impacted almost every business in some way, the challenges they faced and how they managed to adapt to a new way of working that is here to stay. Reserve your place.
