Strength and Depth in the Ashley Kate Finance Team

We had an exciting start to 2018 with the integration of our finance division into Ashley Kate and the creation of Ashley Kate HR and Finance. Therefore, we felt the time was right to introduce you to the team, who are now four strong and going great guns!

We have a great mix of experience and a fresh perspective, believing that a diverse team is a winning team.

Lisa Chatterley – “With over 23 years in recruitment, I have had experience and exposure to many areas of the industry. Having previously covered areas such as Sales, Customer Service, Account Management, Onsite Managed Services, Compliance, Payroll, Administration, Team Leadership and Management, I have much experience to draw on.

I enjoyed the many years I had in the fast-moving world of blue-collar recruitment but decided to take the step into an area where I could explore the candidate and client relationship in more depth, and therefore looked towards Ashley Kate.

Joining Ashley Kate has enabled me to focus on a particular profession, to become a true industry expert, whilst utilising my skills in candidate and client care. Furthermore, as part of the Finance division and I am working closely with my colleagues to grow and make this department a success. I get to use my knowledge and experience of all 360-degree areas of being a recruitment consultant whilst supporting Finance professionals find their next career move. This division of the Ashley Kate business has an exciting future and I am proud to be part of it.”

 

Kilian Underhill – “I joined Ashley Kate in 2015; initially recruiting across London for HR professionals. Shortly after the amalgamation of Ashley Kate HR and Nicholas Associates Finance, I jumped at the opportunity to be the first through the door to lead the Finance & Accountancy recruitment for the South.

Having spent over 2 years placing Mid to Senior HR professionals, it was a natural transition to partner with Finance Directors, Chief Finance Officers and Financial Controllers focusing on long-term recruitment plans, and sourcing appropriate candidates for positions that require a very specific skillset.

Whilst there was an initial learning curve understanding the world of Finance and the many variables within their roles, it has offered me an opportunity to form new partnerships with clients who we haven’t worked with before.  The last year has allowed me to not only understand the people strategy but now to understand the commercial financial dynamics in alignment with the corporate objectives. I look forward to leading the development and growth of the Finance team.”

 

 

Scott Gregory – “After spending the last 20 years in sales, account management and business development, mainly focused on IT Networking & Security, the move into recruitment seemed to be a good fit to utilise my existing skill set and attributes.

Having spent many years focused on engaging with people and businesses to ascertain their needs understand their challenges and explain how I can help with their pain points. The match was obvious.

I spend the vast majority of my time listening to clients and candidates to discover what is important to them and plan how I can support their search for the next role or next appointment. If you look at the principle disciplines from an industry neutral perspective, the key elements in both sales and recruitment include but aren’t limited to careful client qualification, strategic planning with your clients and a consultative methodology to deliver the best customer service. Therefore, I would encourage anyone with a passion for client and candidate relationships to consider a career in recruitment; it should not be limited to those already in the profession.”

 

Beatrice Halford – “I joined Ashley Kate in 2017 initially as a Recruitment Administrator, supporting the executive recruitment HR team in London. During my time, I have had the chance to work within our own finance department supporting with payroll, invoicing and purchase ledger; with such an interest in this area it was the obvious next step for me.

Since joining, the business has offered me the opportunity to grow and develop my skillset, which has now led me to move to a Talent Resourcing role, supporting Kilian Underhill.

My roles includes; sourcing and pre-screening candidates for a specific role;  selecting on skills and fit, as well as registering candidates, updating temporary worker contracts and managing general queries relating any finance roles across the South region.”
