An opportunity has arisen in Sheffield city centre for a HR Officer to contribute to this exciting HR function within this established organisation. Reporting into the Head of HR you will be covering the corporate function and a specific business area.
The purpose of this post is to Partner with the Business, providing expert HR coaching and guidance to managers. You will establish your credibility within the business working within a fast paced business environment. This is an excellent opportunity to work autonomously within your role whilst feeding into the wider HR team, sharing best practice and initiatives for improvements.
Responsibilities will include:
* Co-ordinate with the Head of HR and the HR Manager to discuss operational HR initiatives
* Provide HR guidance and advice to all levels of staff including Partners in line with policy and procedures, and using your HR expertise to support any HR issues
* Manage employee relations including complex disciplinary/grievance cases
* Support the HR function with project work with specific responsibility for annual pay reviews
* Work alongside managers regarding performance and development, implementing new initiatives for performance management.
* Engage with Senior Management in order to establish credibility and develop successful relationships; promoting HR and communicating at all levels
To be considered for this role:
* You will be an established HR Adviser/HR Officer
* You will have experience supporting a headcount of no less than 600 staff, with the capability to manage shifting priorities and high volumes of workloads
* You will have the proven credibility to partner with a business and develop working relationships, with experience from within a corporate environment
* You will be a confident HR professional with an appetite for HR turning challenges into opportunities
* You will have solid employee relations experience with proven experience of handling complex and sensitive disciplinary and grievance cases
