HR and Development Manager (Ref: 1003-23GR)

Our client is a market leader in the FMCG sector and due to recent expansion is currently seeking to recruit a HR and Development Manager to join their dedicated HR function. Reporting into the HR Director, you will provide senior level operational support to the business across locations in the Yorkshire region and help develop the skills of the existing HR team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

* Assist the Head of HR in shaping the HR Business plan in line with business strategy and key objectives.
* Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key managers and personnel within the business and appropriate external contacts
* Deliver the HR business plan through focussing on improving performance management and employee relations
* Identify and implement appropriate HR solutions to fit in house needs, including advising on manpower planning, job design and remuneration, ensuring consistency of approach and HR policy across all locations
* Challenge, coach and facilitate managers in dealing with people issues in line with best practice, business requirements and legal requirements
* Lead and support the delivery of the training agenda across the business with particular reference to Training and Development
* Provide support, advice and guidance on recruitment and selection methodologies to enable cost effective attraction and selection
* Help managers drive forward business change
* Manage the relationship with Trade Unions at local level to ensure support for cultural change, communication mechanisms etc
* Manage a team of HR advisors

We are looking for HR Managers with significant experience in an operational generalist role at this level in food, FMCG or manufacturing. You must have a strong influencing style, be MCIPD or equivalent qualified and have experience of trade unions in order to be considered.
