    My client is a leading professional services organisation based in West Yorkshire who are looking for an Emerging Talent Advisor on a 12-month contract basis to cover a period of maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for their next challenge within HR and is a full time opportunity.

    As Emerging Talent Advisor you’ll work in a fast paced environment, supporting the Firm from an HR perspective with the management of our Emerging Talent populations (trainee solicitors and apprentices) We’re looking for someone who is a confident and highly-organised individual with a real team-based approach. You’ll have responsibility for supporting the Emerging Talent populations in all HR-related matters from the point they accept an offer to join our client.

    Day to day responsibilities will include:
    ·    Building strong relationships with future and current trainees, having regular face-to-face meetings;
    ·    Maintaining and updating the future trainee database, and staying in regular contact with future trainees whilst they wait to join us;
    ·    Managing general trainee queries, as well as more specific HR-related issues, escalating as appropriate;
    ·    Working collaboratively with the HR Business Managers, Graduate Partners and Training Principal in organising the trainee seat rotations;
    ·    Assisting with organising the new trainee induction programme;
    ·    Ensuring all evaluations of trainees and apprentices are conducted well and on time, providing support where needed;
    ·    Helping to administer the overseas seat process including organising language lessons, supporting logistical arrangements and processing expenses/reimbursements;
    ·    Producing letters for trainees relating to references, qualification leave, salary changes, start dates, changes and leavers;
    ·    As this role is working as part of a busy and supportive team there will be opportunities to assist with wider HR initiatives.
    You will be someone who has previous experience of working within a busy HR team, ideally within professional services at an advisory level. You may be from a generalist HR background or a graduate focused team. This is a busy, professional environment and requires a calm and approachable attitude as well as the confidence and maturity to deal with people at all levels, both within the business and externally.
