    Job description

    Ashley Kate are partnering with a well-established construction business on a Regional HR Business Partner role.  You will be expected to travel to their sites across the South region and also central regions so a willingness to undertake extensive travel is essential.  

    This will be a very fast paced generalist role covering high, complex employee relations while partnering with a diverse line management to identify the need for change, then designing and implementing these change management projects.

    Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    •    First line of HR support for any employee relations within the region; this will involve employees between entry level and Senior Management 
    •    Liaise with the HR &Payroll Manager in regards to sensitive employee relations issues that arise when appropriate
    •    Partner with line managers to identify the need for change management projects, design the project then implement from start to finish
    •    Support, develop and coach people managers to manage employee relations issues using policies, procedures and best practice, ideally resolving issues where possible informally.
    •    Build and maintain effective relationships with local Union representatives within the South Region.
    •    Responsible for the ER HR cases database and its content, to ensure that it is kept up to date with all relevant data, letters, notes, etc...
    •    Responsible to ensure that all HR Policies and processes are regularly reviewed and continue to reflect both up-to-date employment law and best practice.
    •    Responsible for running regular HR workshops to provide line managers with information on processes, latest employment law changes and how these will impact on their management responsibilities and existing policies and procedures.

    What my client is looking for:
    •    Previous experience within an HR environment as an established and successful Advisor within a fast paced environment
    •    Previous experience leading on change management projects- this includes designing
    •    Experience of advising managers on ER and employees issues and comfortable handling complex and difficult cases 
    •    Experience of reviewing and developing HR policies and guidance notes
    •    Experience of corresponding and communicating with employees
    •    Proven experience at working within a constantly changing environment
    •    Ideally CIPD qualified but it is not essential
    •    Previous experience in a regional role would also be ideal
